Hi..
The word company,business & firm means the same although a firm can mean 2 things....Firm is slang English for criminals to use as means of establishing themselves as in " You have enrolled in the Firm" or you have joined ranks with a criminal outfit...the word business means that doing business as in selling,production or manufacture....company is when a business has formed into a company as in: "We have set up a limited company "...so a firm can mean a small company not always with criminal intent...a business can mean the same but a little bigger and a company is a larger business say around 30+ workers....Business 10-20 workers...Firm 1-10

Hope that makes sense...we have a silly way of word useage....we have slang or cockney,street talk etc etc...just stick to the basic english and you will be understood..by the way your Englsih grammar is excellent.
